According to reports, plans are already afoot to develop a new IT tower in Lahore, for which a site search will be finalised soon. Previously, the intended tower was to be erected behind Arfa Karim Tower, but the proposal was cancelled in favour of a 1000-bed hospital.
As per the shared details, the proposed IT tower will be erected in partnership with China. In this context, a survey of prospective locations has already been presented to the government.

In another development, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has modified the design of the under-construction Gulab Devi underpass, which is likely to lower the project’s cost. According to sources, the position of the loop, which is now reversed before ascending the Lahore Bridge, was changed. Through the revised position of the loop, 2.5 kanals of land worth PKR 60 million would be saved from being acquired.
In addition, the planning and construction processes are progressing fast, and the piling of underpass walls has begun. The Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar is also expected to visit the building site shortly to get an update on the project, for which the authorities are making preparations.
