The Interrogation into the EOBI scandal which has become a national issue, shocks the masses with its findings, as CDA itself is came up as a primary suspect in corruption. A letter named to the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chowdry, written by supreme courts senior lawyer Zulfiqar Khalid Malooka revealed that the land sold to EOBI was given by the CDA. A piece of land spread on 1937 Kanal was transferred to DHA by the CDA on 22nd June. DHA promised CDA 482 plots of 1 Kanal area which haven’t been given up till now.
The letter further stated that this agreement between CDA and DHA was completely illegal and was a gross violation of the Master plan. The copy of this agreement was asked to be submitted by the chief justice and the three person judicial bench. DHA in the mean while also submitted the details of its more than 70 accounts, in the registrar’s office.
