Rawalpindi: Under the ongoing operation against encroachments in the city, the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has issued notices to the owners of shops on Saddar Road, reported a news source. The notice instructs them to remove permanent encroachments from the road.
The notice also warns of property demolition if the respective maps of the buildings and shops aren’t regularised within 7 days from the issuance of the circular. The decisions in this regard were taken in a meeting presided by RDA Chairman Arif Abbasi.
Abbasi instructed the officials to ensure collection of fines on encroachment as this will increase the funds available for authority to carry out its related operations. He also instructed the RDA officers to perform their duty with complete honesty as main purpose of RDA is to serve people.
