Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the district administration launched an operation against illegal encroachments in different sectors of the city, stated a news report. The CDA enforcement cell also demolished illegal ramps and sealed 27 car showrooms in sector G-8 Markaz. A similar operation was also held in sector G-9, whereby various illegal stalls of fruits and other items were also removed.
Islamabad has witnessed similar anti-encroachment drives previously as well. These have been carried out to remove illegal structures and construction. In earlier May, the CDA also decided to devise a comprehensive plan to deal with these illegal structures.
