Lahore: Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Director General (DG), who is also Commissioner Lahore, Muhammad Ali Randhawa has issued directives for removal of encroachments from greenbelts and parking areas of model roads in the city, according to news published on April 12.

As per the details, the DG gave these orders while presiding over a committee meeting tasked with improving the city’s living environment.
During the meeting, Mr Randhawa reviewed the enhancements made by different departments on 9 roads specified as model roads. While ordering encroachments’ elimination, the LDA DG also ordered LDA departments, PHA and other related agencies to submit their performance reports within the week.
The meeting also stressed for strict adherence to purpose-built land use on the said model roads, and any violators were warned of legal consequences.

- Johar Town (Doctors Hospital to Expo Centre)
- Main Boulevard Allama Iqbal Town (Wahdat Road to Scheme Mor via Dubai Chowk)
- Gulberg (Zahoor Elahi Road
- Hali Road, MM Alam Road)
- Mustafa Town (main road starting from Wahdat Road)
- Jubilee Town (main road starting from Link Canal Road)
- LDA Avenue-1 (main road starting from Jail Road)
- Garden Town (from Kalma Chowk and to Faisal Town)
- Township (Khokhar Chowk to Hamdard Chowk)
