Lahore: In the absence of follow-up on the drive launched against encroachers on Hall Road, the practice of occupying state-owned land in the form of installation of temporary stalls and counters has been witnessed, reported a news source. This has once again made the road congested for pedestrians and travellers using the road.
The traders and residents of the area have demanded the Government of Punjab to launch a follow-up operation to deal with encroachers coming back to Hall Road. Reportedly, with the help of some traders having shops and outlets on the road, encroachers have once again started to set up their counters and stalls on roads and footpaths that had been cleared out just recently.
Land around Usama Centre in particular has been encroached once again, where the path meant for pedestrians has once again been encroached, making it difficult for the walkers.
