Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government on Monday announced its decision to introduce an Electronic Tendering System for the uplift schemes planned for the newly merged tribal areas, according to a news source. To this effect, KP Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan directed the authorities concerned to launch e-tendering, e-billing, e-bidding, and e-work order systems for implementing uplift projects in the region; similar to the rest of the province.

The decision came through during a meeting regarding the formulation of the Annual Development Program (ADP) for the financial year (FY) 2020-21. Chairing the meeting, the CM ordered the relevant departments to focus more on the less developed regions within these tribal areas when designing the next ADP. He added that this would bring these areas at par with the rest of KP.

CM Khan said that the provincial government would prioritise completing ongoing development schemes during ADP 2020-21. He added that the upcoming ADP would include new schemes on an as-needed basis.
