Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has recommended that the national elections be held on July 25 or 26, according to a news report. The preparations to send the summary for the national elections to the President are being done. After the summary is approved by the President, ECP will issue the election schedule in the last week of May or the first week of June.
ECP is going to install CCTV monitoring in polling stations located in sensitive areas, while ramps will also be installed for disabled people. According to a briefing by ECP, preparations at the polling stations is in final stages. A total of 86,436 polling stations will be established throughout the country, while about 20,498 have been deemed as sensitive.
