Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday (November 20) inaugurated three road infrastructure projects for Raiwind city and surrounding areas, news sources reported.

The project will be completed with a budget of PKR 2 billion and will include the following:
- Construction of Pajian Bypass road from Pajian Chowk to Sundar Sharif
- Construction of Raiwind Bypass road from Khara Chowk to Sundar Sharif
- Construction of road from Raiwind Bypass to Raiwind City

The project is expected to ease the traffic flow coming and going towards Lahore and Raiwind city, especially during the annual Raiwind Tablighi gathering. Additionally, the project will also help achieve the following goals:
- The roads will be used by 30,000 vehicles every day
- Annually the project will serve 3 million people during Tablighi Gathering
- The project will be a green initiative that will use solar-powered LEDs
