Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday (January 17) laid the foundation stone of ‘Data Darbar Parking Plaza’ near the holy shrine of Usman Ali Hajveri, news sources reported.

The nine-story Data Darbar Parking Plaza will span an area of 7 kanals and be completed with an estimated budget of PKR 3 billion.
As per the sources, the project will have the following features:
- The plaza will have a parking capacity of 500 vehicles
- Connected to the shrine through an underground passage
- Connected to an adjacent ‘Panagah’ for commuters from outside the city
- Connected with an overhead bridge for devotees

The project is expected to be completed in the next six months and will be open to the public. It is important to note that the project is part of CM Elahi’s PKR 23 billion mega projects for the provincial capital, which also include the Samanabad Underpass project, the Gulshan Ravi T-junction Underpass Project, the Sagian Road, and the Shahdra Multi Level Flyover and Underpass project, among others.
