Larkana: The Endowment Fund Trust for Preservation of the Heritage of Sindh (EFT) completed restoration and rehabilitation work on Shah Baharo tomb – a news source reported.
The EFT officials handed over possession of the 18th century site to the provincial culture department. A ceremony to this effect was held at the tomb near Arzi Bhutto village. Ishtiaq Ansari, regional coordinator of EFT, presented keys of the tomb to Mohenjo Daro curator Ehsan Abbasi.

Speaking on the occasion, Ansari informed the participants that the restoration work – funded by the culture department – cost PKR 8.7 million. He added that several experts from Lahore carried out a detailed study on the project prior to the commencement of the actual work.

It took the EFT four years to accomplish the delicate task of rehabilitating and restoring the historic structure. Thirty-five tiles were used, he added.
Ansari said that at present, EFT, is working on the restoration of at least 40 projects.
