Lahore – Traders will increase the intensity of protest if Railways authority will not withdraw from the decision of increasing shops’ rentals by 10 – 15 per cent.
Yesterday, eight shops were sealed at Shalimar Link Road by the Railways authority and notices of increase in rentals were issued to almost 100 shops.
It was also mentioned by the Railways authority that if the shop-holders will not pay rentals according to the new rental plan, their shops will be sealed.
In response to this, a protest was registered by the traders of Shalimar Link Road and tyres were fired on the main road and slogans were raised against the Railways authority.
