Islamabad: The Ministry of Commerce has released a data report on Thursday (November 10) that revealed that the growth of eight export-oriented sectors increased 28.67 % in the first four months of the fiscal year (FY) 2021-22, news sources reported. The growth of these sectors reached USD 5.632 billion between July and October this year against USD 4.377 billion over the corresponding months of last year. As per the reports, the details of the sectors that posted a double-digit percentile growth are as follows:

- USD 131 million export of synthetic fabric
- USD 270 million from women’s garments
- USD 330 million from the export of jerseys and cardigans
- USD 398 million in cotton yarn export
- USD 502 million in the export of rice
- USD 745 million in cotton fabric
- USD 1.54 billion in men fabric products
- USD 1.575 billion in home textiles

According to the statistics, the main destination for Pakistani exports was the United States, which saw a 33% increase to USD 2.08 billion from USD 1.558 billion in the same time the previous year. Similarly, exports to the United Kingdom (UK) increased by 11% to USD 742 million, up from USD 669 million in the same time the previous year. Other countries included the Netherlands with USD 495 million, Spain USD 368 million, UAE USD 356 million and USD 307 million exports to Italy.
