Deputy Commissioner (DC) Hamza Shafqaat has said in a media briefing that the department is encouraging people to use digital platforms that will allow people to offer animal sacrifices and also contain the virus from spreading.
In response to a question, the DC said that the ICT might seal the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. He further said that there might not be the availability of usual cattle markets this year because the city administration fears mass gatherings as it may end up being disastrous for controlling and preventing the COVID-19 infection from spreading.

The deputy commissioner has appealed to the citizens to place their orders on registered and verified portals to avoid any scams. He said that people can lodge their complaints against subpar portals and apps on the Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) National Response Centre for Cyber Crime.
