Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Senator Dr Sania Nishtar announced that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) will organise an engaging ‘Rashan’ workshop this week to start registration drive for the social welfare initiative in Islamabad, according to a news story published on Tuesday (January 4).

CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed appreciated the efforts of the Rashan programme of Ehsaas initiative. He reassured full cooperation for the capital-wide registration drive. As per the details, SAPM Nasir and CDA Chairman Ahmed briefed the meeting on Ehsaas Rashan Registration. It was informed that the registration was to speed up the process of enrolment of retailers (Kiryana) and families across 50 union councils of the capital city.
Under this initiative, 20 million families will be granted a monthly subsidy of PKR 1,000 on ghee, pulses, cooking oil, and flour.

Reportedly, PM’s aide disclosed that the Ehsaas Rashan Registration Drive was in full swing with several district administrations including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). It is pertinent to note that the retailers can register through the link https://ehsaasrashan.pass.gov.pk/ and families can register through the number 8171. Kiryana retailers must have a bank account for registration. Retailers who don’t have an account can visit the nearest branch of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
