Quetta: National Assembly Deputy Speaker Qasim Khan Suri recently revealed that over 50,000 underprivileged families in Balochistan are expected to benefit from the Ehsaas Cash Relief Program, according to news sources. As per the publication, the speaker further announced that the program would be the first mega relief project of its kind to be set up in the province.

Suri made this announcement during a visit to the Ehsaas Centre at Ayub Stadium on Sunday. At the occasion, he said that the distribution of the PKR 12,000 stipend under this program had been computerized, and was now governed by a transparent strategy to eliminate any cases of irregular monetary distribution.
Focal Person for the Ehsaas Programme Sania Safi briefed the deputy speaker about the 14 cash distribution centres that have been set up in Quetta to ensure cash distribution in three phases.

During the initial phase, the stipend will be offered to the registered beneficiaries of the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). The second phase will cater to the requests made through SMS text messages, and the third phase will grant funds through Quetta Deputy Commissioner’s reserved quota.
