The Egyptian envoy said that trade between his country and Pakistan stood at a mere USD 25 million recorded figure. He stressed the need to increase trade volume during the next five years.
He further stated that Egypt accords great importance to its ties with Pakistan; adding that the Egyptian embassy would provide all possible assistance to RCCI for organising the planned ‘Business Trade Africa Forum’.
In response, Badar Haroon emphasised the need to explore new markets for promoting bilateral trade. Tourism is one such sector which promises attractive investment opportunities. He said Egypt could import food items, medicine, and machinery from Pakistan.
