Peshawar: The ten-year development plan for the merged tribal states now includes the plan to establish an education city in the North Waziristan region, a news source reported. The aim of an education city is to improve the literacy rate of North Waziristan, which is the lowest in all the merged states. The project will create a favourable environment for the promotion of quality education, especially for women, which is a priority for the government of KP. Opportunities to gain technical education will also be made available, so that people can earn a better livelihood, leading to a possible fall in poverty rates.
