Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has placed a ban on new development schemes and recruitments on all governmental levels, according to a news report. This has been done to ensure the conduct of upcoming elections in a free and fair manner.
According to details, ECP passed an order to halt all work on development schemes launched on or after April 1, 2018. The ban includes a hold on all gas and water supply schemes and construction and carpeting of roads.
The recruitment ban will be placed on all levels of government: federal, provincial or local. However, it will not affect the recruitment already taking place through Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) or the Provincial Public Service Commission (PPSC).
