Pursuant to the details, the funding decision, finalised in a recent Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting, is part of the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) and surpasses the initial PKR 30 billion proposed by the Ministry of Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives for fiscal year 2024-25.
This housing initiative, which gained Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) approval in June, carries an estimated total cost of PKR 296 billion. ECNEC has recommended a phased funding plan, with PKR 30 billion allocated for the current fiscal year and an additional PKR 20 billion for 2025-26.
