Islamabad: The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved a summary requesting the allocation of grant money for marketing and promoting the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) and Sehat Card initiatives, reported a news source. The ECC has also approved several other government proposed projects, including the executive’s Ramzan Package.

Finance Minister Asad Umar recently chaired an ECC meeting to this effect – held yesterday. The ECC reviewed the summaries approved for various projects, including oil transport for Pakistan State Oil via Pakistan Railways, an autonomous guarantee for the Utility Stores Corporation (USC), and a special grant for the media. The coordination committee also expressed its positive views regarding Pakistan Railways being capable of transporting petroleum supplies.

The ECC has decided to appoint Pakistan Railways Minister Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed as the head of the four-member committee tasked with managing the Ramzan Package. The said group directed the USC to arrange for its supplies.
