Lahore: The Ministry of Commerce has launched e-Visa facilities aimed at facilitating ease of doing business in the country, a news source reported. As per the publication, this initiative — officially termed the ‘e-Business Visa Invitation Letter System (E-BIL)’ — has been actualized through a ministry collaboration with the National Database & Registration Authority (NADRA).

With this new system, the Chambers and Trade Associations would have the ability to file e-file applications for business visas upon the arrival of nationals from 190 countries. The authorities concerned would then process these applications within 48 hours to 78 hours.
The Ministry of Commerce has also provided this facility to all Chambers of Commerce & Industry of Pakistan and Trade Associations. This would allow them to easily upload their visa invitation letters.

The ministry revealed that they launched the e-Visa facilities in line with the Prime Minister (PM)’s vision for facilitating potential foreign investors, and providing them with business opportunities in Pakistan.
According to sources, the foreign nationals can apply for business invitation letters through the E-BIL website. The business invitation letter is a required document for Pakistan’s business visa application process.
