Islamabad: Minister of Communications Asad Mehmood shared that the government has taken the initiative to implement an e-tolling system on motorways and highways across the country, according to news published in the national dailies on July 4.

As per the details, this step is aimed at modernizing the toll collection process and ensuring efficient management of traffic flow. Communications Minister Mehmood announced the government plans to establish new facilities in Dera Ismail Khan, Mianwali, and Rawalpindi including service areas, housing accommodation, and food centres on the Yarik-Hakla Motorway (M-14).

The minister highlighted that these facilities aim to cater to the needs of the respective regions and enhance their development and aim to enhance the travel experience for motorists.
