Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi marked a significant milestone by inaugurating Punjab’s first e-Registration Model Centre situated at LDA Plaza, Kashmir Road, as claimed by a news source on January 7.

According to the revealed details, the newly introduced model e-Registration system aims to streamline the land transfer process in the region. To enhance citizen convenience, the Sub-Registrar offices of Ravi Town, Samanabad Town, and Data Gunj Baksh Town have been relocated to the e-Registration Model Centre. During his visit, CM Naqvi emphasised the need to establish two more e-Registration Centres in Raiwind and Shalimar by January 31.
Expressing his satisfaction with the progress, CM Naqvi acknowledged the collaborative efforts of the Senior Member Board of Revenue, Punjab Land Record Authority, and the administrative team. He revealed that the manual registry process would be discontinued, with over 221,000 registries already completed under the e-registration system.

While inspecting the centre, CM Naqvi delved into the intricacies of the e-Registration system, directing officials to devise an online fee payment system for the ease of citizens. He also took the opportunity to visit the Punjab Bank branch at the e-Registration Centre, interacting with citizens undergoing land transfer processes.
