The National Information Technology Board (NITB) has begun work in this regard, and many projects are near completion. According to sources, the board will introduce a self-information management system for monitoring the implementation of decisions taken by the cabinet.
In alignment with the government’s several measures for digitalising several sectors , the Punjab Transport Department recently launched an app for accessing bus schedules and other related information.
The system introduced by NITB will be responsible for follow-up and tracking of the implementation process. It will electronically send all pronouncements to the cabinet members and secretaries of the relevant ministries and divisions. Similarly, these individuals will also upload the implementation information and additional developments to the system, which will then forward it to all cabinet members.
