Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Waste Management Company (RWMC) has started the campaign to clean eleven sewerage drains in the city, reported a news source. Meanwhile, the report on completing the work on drains in Javaid Colony, Arya Mohala, Nadeem Colony, Sharja Groud, Dhok Hukamdar, Dabu Road, New Amerpura, Kohati Bazar, Thandi Gali, and several other areas has been submitted before the RWMC Administrator Dr. Umer Jahangir.
The report states that work is underway on drains on Jamia Masjid Road and Imam Bargah Road, while that on remaining sewerage drains will be completed in the next two weeks. The administrator was also told that manpower is being used to clean the drains where heavy machinery can’t be deployed.
Staff and machinery of RWMC is also on alert to deal with any emergency in the city. The RWMC administrator appreciated the company’s efforts regarding keeping Rawalpindi safe and clean during the monsoon.
