Islamabad: The drive launched against illegal housing societies in Islamabad has been accelerated, a news source quoted the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman and Islamabad Mayor Sheikh Anser Aziz. He said this in a briefing on the performance of CDA Building Control Directorate while chairing a meeting.
It was asserted in the meeting that some developers in Islamabad are marketing their projects without the approval of CDA, which is illegal. The public should be duly informed that these projects are illegal and unapproved since these projects do not match the standards set by the civic authority. The meeting also agreed that the public should refrain from engaging in buying or selling property in unapproved societies.
