Rawalpindi: In a drive launched against illegal construction activities, the Rawalpindi Municipal Corporation (RMC) sealed several buildings and demolished illegally constructed structures in the city, reported a news source. Mayor RMC Sardar Naseem has instructed the branch concerned to have a zero tolerance policy against illegal construction activities.
During the drive, many buildings were sealed on 6th Road and in Hazara Colony on non-confirming use of property. In addition to that, several illegal petrol pumps were also sealed, along with many commercial units. The team concerned also demolished the shuttering of a building where unapproved construction activities were reported on the third floor.
According to instructions given by Naseem, all construction work carried out against the approved plan will be demolished.
