Multan: During a drive launched against illegal construction activities in the city, Multan Development Authority (MDA)’s Enforcement Wing demolished a service station, reported a news source.
Prior this operation, the owner of the service station was notified in writing to get an MDA approval for the services station. Reportedly, the owner failed to comply to the orders and didn’t respond to the notice. He instead approached the court seeking a stay order. The court rejected his request. Following this, the MDA launched its operation.
MDA Enforcement Wing Deputy Director Irfan Qureshi headed the operation. MDA Town Planning Wing Deputy Director Khawaja Waqas also helped with the operation. The enforcement team used heavy machinery to demolish the structure.
To deal with any resistance against the official orders, the operation was carried out in the presence of police force.
