Lahore: In a meeting about dilapidated buildings in the city, Lahore Deputy Commissioner Sameer Ahmad ordered the respective zoning officers to identify buildings in possible danger of collapsing in their zones, and issue warning notices to their owners, according to a news source.
The meeting was held in the Deputy Commission and was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Rao Imtiaz Ahmed, zonal officers, director planning and related staff from Iqbal Town, Gulberg, Nishtar, Shalimar, Samanabad, Data Gunj Bakhsh and Wahga. These officers gave detailed briefings on the dilapidated buildings in their respective areas.
Ahmad instructed the concerned officers to carry out the operation against these buildings in two weeks and submit a report in the next meeting. He also warned that if a dilapidated building collapses in a zone, its zoning officer will be held responsible.
