As per the publication, the experts claimed that Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) could treat coronavirus patients. He further revealed that the globulin was recovered from the blood of infected patients and purified — after which the experts remove unnecessary materials through ultra-purification techniques.

The experts claimed that the method employed to manufacture the globulin was approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Through their experiments, the university’s researchers now believe that the aforementioned treatment could be quite effective. The DUHS experts also argued that the strain of COVID-19 in Pakistan had undergone a few mutations and that the IVIG extracted from recovered patients in the country would provide immunity against the virus.
