Rawalpindi: Advisor to Chief Minister (CM) Punjab for Horticulture and Tourism Asif Mehmood recently revealed that the provincial government’s proposed double-decker tourist bus service for the city will be launched after eid — a news source reported.

Mehmood further said that the project had been delayed because of the coronavirus lockdown. He explained that elaborate preparations had now been initiated for the launch of the double-decker bus service. He added that the service will not be launched during the lockdown.

According to the details available, the main terminal for this bus service will be located on Allama Iqbal Park, Double Road — Murree Road. It will also be the zero point for the service. The service will travel from Allama Iqbal Park via Faizabad to Rawal Dam, Lok Virsa, Shakar Parian, China Complex, Jasmine Garden, Chand Tara, Secretariat, Centaurus, and Shah Faisal Mosque. From there it will return to Allama Iqbal Park via Zero Point.
