Islamabad: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has extended the suspension on operation of domestic and international flights till April 21 as a precautionary measure against the spread of novel coronavirus, a news source reported.

The government had originally suspended all flight operations in March for a period of two weeks. However, on April 1, the CAA announced an extension of the suspension until April 11. Now the aviation authority has announced another extension until April 21.
According to the announcement by the CAA, the decision to extend the suspension to 11:59 PM Pakistani Time on April 21 has been taken by the federal government.

The government has given exemption to flights carrying stranded passengers to and from Pakistan, from holding special approval of the authorities from this suspension of flight operations. Further exemption is given to diplomatic and special/cargo flights.
