dSargodha: The Government of Punjab has announced December 10, 2018 as the deadline to remove encroachments in all districts including Sargodha, reported a news source. In this regard, respective deputy commissioners of all districts in Punjab have been instructed to ensure that the orders are implemented.
With stern orders in place to remove encroachments in all districts of Punjab, the provincial government has also stressed that measures are to be taken to ensure that encroachments don’t surface back. The main purpose behind remove of illegal occupation from land owned by the state is to facilitate pedestrians and vehicles finding it hard to travel otherwise on encroached roads and streets.
To keep the staff engaged in removing encroachment from any retaliation, the DCs have also been instructed to take all measures necessary for their protection. Furthermore, clear orders have also been issued to deal with encroachers and land mafia evenhandedly.
