Rawalpindi: The district administration, in a joint initiative with the Rawalpindi police, has recovered commercial properties belonging to the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), estimated to be worth billions of rupees, as per news reports on December 11.
Situated on Tipu Road and Hafeez Road in Rawalpindi, these abandoned properties span over 108 kanals of commercial land, with a cumulative value exceeding PKR 4 billion. The news source mentioned that the reclamation process adhered strictly to Supreme Court orders, ensuring a lawful and systematic approach to address the issue of illegally occupied ETPB properties.
A district administration spokesperson (whose name was not disclosed) highlighted that all available resources were mobilized to facilitate the rightful transfer of these commercial properties.
