Mansehra – The District Administration of Mansehra plans to acquire a land of 4,400 kanals for executing Suki Kanari Hydropower Project.
The dam will be constructed on River Kunhar in Kaghan Valley and it will produce 870 megawatts of electricity. Deputy Commissioner, Zulfiqar Shah said, “Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is providing support for the construction of dam in Kaghan Valley. The District Administration of Mansehra will acquire land for the dam with the help of Revenue Department.”
Zulifiqar also said that a survey for the execution of project has been completed and an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) for the construction of dam has been signed between the Management of Suki Kanari Hydropower Project and the Commissioner of Hazara.
