Rawalpindi: The district administration and the Rawalpindi Metropolitan Corporation (RMC) have notified their intent to launch a grand anti-encroachment operation in collaboration with the local police force, a news source reported on November 28.

During a meeting held with the representatives of various traders associations, the authorities conveyed their intent to launch said operation. To this effect, action will be taken against all sorts of permanent and temporary encroachments.

All assistant commissioners, magistrates, and police from all the relevant stations will be present at the time of the operation to assist the administration in the operation. Currently, the administration has identified Raja Bazaar, Bara Bazaar, Iqbal Road, City Saddar Road, Commercial Market, Syedpur Road, Jamia Masjid Road, Moti Bazaar, Mochi Bazaar, Kallan Bazaar, Purana Qila, Kashmiri Bazar, Gawal Mandi, Liquat Road, College Road, and Bohar Bazaar for commencing with the drive.
