Lahore: The district administration has decided to establish a patwarkhana in Harbanspura on 2 kanals of public land retrieved from the encroachers, a news source reported. Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue Asghar Joiya has directed Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shalimar Mehdi Maloof to have the map prepared for the initiative.

According to details, the 2-kanal public land is worth tens of millions that had recently been retrieved from encroachers, under the supervision of Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) and Assistant Commissioner (AC) Shalimar. Following, the authorities decided to establish Harbanspura’s patwarkhana. A map and a report on the area is being prepared for the purpose.

Reportedly, the concerned ACE is also taking action against the local patwaris on the allegations of corruption and suspicion of altering land records for public land. The First Incident Report (FIR) had been registered and the inquiry has been ongoing for the past several years.
