Mansehra: The district administration on Tuesday has imposed a ban on all unplanned construction activities in Kaghan valley, according to news sources.

The ban on construction in Kaghan was imposed by Deputy Commissioner Adnan Khan Bhittani through an order that warned of immediate action against the violators. The said official notification stated that the district administration has taken notice of the unplanned construction of commercial and non-commercial structures which is marring the valley’s natural essence and charm.

The commissioner banned all activity without a prior no-objection certificate issued by the Kaghan Development Authority. The official order stated that violators will be facing punishment under Section 188 of PPC.
In another notification, the deputy commissioner has also banned throwing garbage and opening sewerage lines into River Kunhar, River Siran and their tributaries.
