Islamabad: The National Assembly Standing Committee on Government Assurance has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to expedite the pace of development work in Sector E-12, according to news published in leading newspapers on March 14.

The news source mentioned that the National Assembly Standing Committee on Government Assurance expressed serious concerns over the slow pace of development work in the said sector. During the meeting, the committee discussed the hurdles in handing over possession of plots in Sector E-12 to allottees despite taking the full price of these properties.

Moreover, the CDA officials disclosed that the development work is delayed because of the encroachment. The Committee asked the civic agency to take action against land mafia that has the land occupied. The CDA was asked to complete the development work as soon as possible and hand over the possession to allottees.
