Buildings in the walled city that are not fit for human dwelling and are considered highly dangerous are planned to be demolished in a step by step process by the Lahore municipal committee. On the directive of DCO the Ravi Town municipal committee has selected 35 such buildings out of 180 old buildings. Out of the 35 buildings that were deemed un-fit for human living, 16 were extremely dangerous and crumbling to pieces and were marked by red crosses.
For the demolishing of these buildings, all the in conveniences will be borne patiently by all the concerned authorities and will also extend their cooperation to the municipal committee. The owners of these buildings have already been notified and legal notices have been issued.
