Lahore: Lahore Deputy Commissioner Capt. (R) Anwar-ul-Haq has been briefed that 488 buildings in the city has been declared dangerous, while 230 were repaired and 147 were demolished to avoid any mishap, reported a news source. Haq received the briefing during a meeting held to discuss status of dilapidated buildings in Lahore.
Haq has asked Punjab Health Department to inform the Health Secretary and Punjab Communication and Works Department in writing about these buildings declared dangerous. Punjab Housing Department has also been instructed to repair the quarters that have been marked as dangerous to avoid any unfortunate situation.
