Lahore: The Punjab government has launched a new software interface and a dedicated mobile application in a bid to develop & promote the health sector in the province, a news source reported.

As per reports, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has assisted the provincial government in this new initiative. Under this project, the training records of medical practitioners will be digitised.
A product launch ceremony – to mark this technological debut – was held on Thursday. USAID Project Management Specialist Dr Ismail Virk and Provincial Minister for Population Welfare Colonel (retired) Muhammad Hashim Dogar were present at the occasion.
The USAID representative expressed his hope that such collaborations between the two countries would help in achieving their shared goal of reducing maternal and child mortality rates.

In response, the provincial minister welcomed the introduction of technological initiatives, which are aimed at transforming the province’s health sector.
