Islamabad: Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal launched ‘Digital Flood Dashboard’ of the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC) in Islamabad for transparent relief assistance and distribution system, according to news published in the national dailies on September 12.

The minister mentioned that the portal has been launched on the directives of Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif. It was mentioned that the said dashboard will provide direct information to the public about the relief goods being distributed and financial support is given to the flood affectees. The attendees were informed that the dashboard will provide details about the relief activities, assistance, and distribution of goods. The public will be updated on the relief measures.

Moreover, the premier reviewed the restoration of life activities in the flood-hit areas. He directed the authorities to expedite the process of rehabilitation of bridges, power supply, and roads. He instructed the relevant authorities to speed up the process of provision of basic necessities to the flood victims.
