Islamabad: The Implementation Committee on Diamer-Basha and Mohmand Dams (ICDBMD), established by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, convened on Thursday to assess the progress of land acquisition and resettlement in the project areas. The news was shared through an article on March 1.

According to the details, the meeting chaired by the WAPDA and ICDBMD Chairman Engr Lt Gen Sajjad (r) was organised at the request of the ICDBMD sub-committee focusing on land acquisition and resettlement for the Diamer-Basha Dam.

The Diamer-Astore Division Commissioner provided a comprehensive update on the progress and status of the Grievances Redressal Committee and the Missing Chulha Committee, including their Terms of Reference (ToR). Chairman Ghani emphasised the importance of resolving remaining issues regarding affected households and missing cooking stoves, expressing WAPDA’Ss commitment to addressing legitimate grievances of the affected population.
