DI Khan: The Chief Executive of the Water and Sanitation Services Company (WSSC), Mansoor Arshad, has announced plans to develop a new picnic spot along the scenic Indus River, reported by national dailies. With the cooperation of WSSC and TMA, the necessary steps for this project have been finalized. According to the announcement, Mansoor Arshad emphasized their commitment to enhancing living conditions for the residents of DI Khan, expressing their determination to continue serving the city and beautifying Dera.
The announcement was made during a meeting with representatives from various departments, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance Syed Gulfam Abbas Shah, Assistant Manager Madam Kamila, and officials from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cities Improvement Project (KPCIP) such as Amjad Parvez and Rizwana Waraich.
In the meeting, the DC highlighted WSSC’s efforts to ensure efficient garbage collection from government institutions and city markets. He also hinted at significant changes within WSSC to enable the institution to generate funds, signaling a positive shift towards sustainability and self-sufficiency.
