Quetta: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta has announced the ballot date for its ‘Smart City Phase-I’ project, according to the scheme’s official Facebook page. To this effect, the developer has stated that the balloting will take place on March 14.

Previously, the administration had extended the last date for application submissions for DHA Smart City Phase-I from December 13 to December 20 – in a bid to accommodate public demand. It had further introduced an SMS service to confirm data entry of the successful applicants.
Moreover, for those who did not receive confirmation texts, the DHA Quetta management asked these individuals to verify their ballot application status by logging onto https://ballotapp.dhaquetta.org/my-application; using their computerised national identity card (CNIC) numbers.

The ballot for the project was expected to take place in January, but is now happening on March 14. DHA Quetta Smart City Phase-I features plots for residential, commercial and farmhouse development.
According to DHA Quetta official, the project will feature one to the widest expressways in Balochistan – expected to be 316 feet in width. The road network in DHA Quetta is also one of the grandest in the province with boulevards, avenues and minimum 60ft-wide streets.
