Quetta: The Defense Housing Authority (DHA) Quetta has announced another deadline extension for members to submit their first down payments for the Smart City Phase-I project, according to a recent notification on the residential scheme’s official Facebook page. The new DHA Quetta downpayment deadline has been set for June 23 – extended from May 30 – to facilitate the public during the city’s continuing, partial COVID-19 lockdown phase following the Eid holidays.

The DHA Quetta Smart City has announced several deadline extensions on the initial date of April 15, as the coronavirus situation evolved in the country. Subsequently, it was announced that the first down payment will be decreased to 8% instead of 10% of the cost and in case of farmhouses, the first down payment will be collected at 16% instead of the previously communicated 20%.

The society conducted its first ballot on March 14. The residential plots of 8, 10, 16-marla and 1, 2-kanal were offered for the ballot. Similarly, the commercial plots of 4,8-marla and 1 kanal were also included in the ballot.
