Multan: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan administration on Wednesday (February 16) inaugurated the Miyawaki Botanical Forest and Mega Spring Plantation Drive, according to a post shared on the authority’s Facebook page.

Federal Minister and Advisor to Prime Minister for Climate Change Malik Amin Aslam inaugurated the Miyawaki Botanical Forest and planted a tree in Sector M of the society. It was an opening ceremony for Mega Spring Plantation Drive that will range from February 15 and will end by March 31. Speaking at the event, the federal minister lauded the plantation drive orchestrated by the DHA administration. He also highlighted the national efforts to make the country eco-friendly.

Reportedly, the DHA team has planted 200,000 plants and trees in the year 2020-2021 under Sarsabz-o-Shadab Pakistan Plantation Campaigns. For the current year, the DHA administration plans to plant 300,000 and 2.5 million trees in the next 5 years. DHA Multan wants to provide a clean, smart, green, and serene living environment through its horticulture initiatives.
