Multan: The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Multan administration has inaugurated a Mango Orchard in Sector N and launched the spring plantation drive in the society from February 16, according to a post shared on the authority’s official Facebook page.

Federal Minister for National Food Security & Research inaugurated the Mango Orchard with plantation of a Mango tree in Sector N. The minister lauded the plantation drive started by the DHA administration to make the country green, clean, and eco-friendly. As per the details, the authority has started ‘Mega Spring Plantation Drive’ from February 16 and will end by March 31 2022.

Deputy Commissioner Aamir Karim Khan, Commissioner Multan Division Dr Irshad Ahmed, and 1000 students of Bahauddin Zakariya University and Multan Public School participated in the plantation drive. Project Director Brig Shoeb Anwar Kayani, speaking at the ceremony, stated that the authority will make the society truly eco-friendly, serene, green, and clean through its horticulture initiatives. It is pertinent to note that the DHA administration inaugurated Miyawaki Botanical Forest on Wednesday (February 16).
